Equipment Specification

Heat Interface Unit

The Heat Interface Unit shall provide the following capabilities:

  • Hot Water Priority is not required.
  • Central heating temperature control to be based on fixed temperatures.
  • Peak DHW load of 35.7 kW.
  • Primary return temperatures at peak DHW load should not exceed 25C.
  • Peak central heating load of 4 kW.
  • Primary return temperatures at peak central heating load should not exceed 60C.
  • Maximum Differential Pressure of 100 kPa.
  • Minimum Differential Pressure of 50 kPa.
  • To ensure compliance with the above, the HIU should be tested independently to Fairheat HIU Regime, or equivalent.
